Ask HN: How old a project can I include on a CV?

I'm nearly a PhD graduate in a computational-but-not-CS-field working on my CV for the job market.

I'm aiming to go into data science and have a lot of academic projects involving stats/machine learning/data wrangling, but am lacking on the SQL front.

I have one project that I worked on a few years back showcasing my skills in SQL, web development, etc which garnered a decent GitHub following with roughly 250 stars and 75 forks.

However, the project is on a separate GitHub profile from my main academic one, and the last update feels a bit old (four years ago). Should I include it? If so, by re-uploading it to my main profile?

I'd appreciate any insights on the best way to approach this situation!

It's probably more about relevance

My general advice is to have a longer CV/Resume that you trim down & edit per job application.
