What Is USPS General Delivery?

I think they're allowed to open "general delivery" under more liberal rules than mail with more specific addressing.

I've seen the service used for trade shows, call the post office in the town up to a month before the show and ask nicely and they might hold significant quantity of goods for you. under a pallet but more than you might want to ship and store otherwise.
