Ask HN: Is it safe to use a Chromium browser with an outdated Chrome version?
I love Sidekick, a premium chromium-based browser that I purchased from AppSumo. It works great and offers many unique features. However, they do not keep their chromium version updated to the latest version. According to the changelog (https://help.meetsidekick.com/en/articles/6767154-what-s-new-version-history), their current version is Version 122 (160.1.1), while Chrome's latest version is Version 126.0.6478.114.
Should I continue to use Sidekick regardless of this, or am I in big trouble by using an outdated browser?
