Ask HN: Not a webdev, why are these sites so good?
I've noticed many new websites, belonging mostly to startups, have got exceedingly 'good': they are concise, simple, and super super fast.
So really a two part question: 1. (Style) Maybe a new shared design paradigm? 2. (Speed) These sites load so fast on my machine, as if Chrome is preloading them, or is it just that like Vercel / Netlify / whatever else has gotten really good?

https://elevenlabs.io/ That first one doesn't work with Firefox. It loads pretty quick but the application shows a flash of being in a jumbled state where the CSS hasn't been applied. The dropdown menu for Product and Solution don't work at all, clicking on other pages such as "Case Studies" takes several seconds during which there is no loading indicator. I tried it on Chrome and it was very slow to load at first without any indicator, That's interesting, I just tested those on my machine and they all work great. I guess it should be taken off the examples list though lol
