Ask HN: How to show HN a post without being annoying?
I'm just genuinely curious.
I've built a toy product I think would be cool to show n' tell here but I want to be make the actual post engaging and following not just the guidelines but also the "vibes".
I'm only 19 so I haven't used HN as much as some of you who have probably built many projects here and can guide me. Help, please. I’d suggest to just post it rather than overthinking the submission. There’s no “being annoying”, if people do not think it’s interesting they don’t upvote. If you’re a young maker a few sentences on your motivation to build the thing, who you are, etc. will make it more interesting. Also, you can start the discussion with 1-2 questions in your post, to maximize the value of input from the HN community. Also, I'd like as many people to try it out as possible.
