Ask HN: What questions do you ask a startup during an interview?
I have never worked at a startup and am interviewing with one. I’d like to ask some questions to suss out whether it’ll go belly up in the near future. Also, it’d be nice to determine if it’s absolutely nuts there. What questions do you generally ask? I’ve always thought about this and why it worries people unjustly. Why does it bother people if it goes to the wall? Thats entirely their issue to hawk their product. If they really can revolutionise and disrupt something great. You’re doing work and getting paid and they are hiring now. It’s very easy to explain also later “why did you leave your last place? Well it went bust.”
