An open letter to everyone that I will ever work with as a remote tech worker
bhupesh.meI'm glad to see this. I have thought about making a "collaboration contract" with similar perspective.
some comments:
> If for some reason I realize that during a communication thread, we are jumping on arguments with each other (or blaming each other). I will drop the communication right then and there. This is different from holding my position in a discussion. I will not engage in a conversation that is not productive. I will take a break and come back to it later.
disappearing quickly might not be seen/understood well. I suggest saying something like, "I need to take a few minutes to cool down" before disappearing
> tit-bits
generally the word is tidbits. I don't know if a dialect has morphoned into tit-bits... but if you didn't know, tit is a slang word for breasts in the US.
interesting but seems like overengineered life
I don't know that I would use those words.
I think the words "snowflake" come to mind. 2.5 years in and the kid has a rider for how you should treat him at work.
Meanwhile I know good engineers looking for a job who dont come with a list of demands.
Pointless drivel. No one cares and no one’s going to read that. Sorry. You’ve been a software engineer for 2years. Come back when you’ve done 20.
