Ask HN: Who Wants to Consult?
Similar to the monthly Who Wants To Be Hired thread, I was wondering if it would be useful to have a database of people who are available for short term engagements, i.e from a minimum of an hour or two to whatever.
I often find myself looking to pick someone's brain over an issue I'm running into, and I'm willing to pay for an hour or two of someone's time to talk it through. Asking on forums is inherently hit or miss, and on sites like Upwork you have to wade through a lot of noise. (That being said, Upwork is nice for taking care of messaging, milestones, escrow, etc.)
My idea would be a format like:

Technologies:
Résumé/Portfolio:
Email/Calendly: There's a monthly Freelance thread which covers this: Here's the one for May: i agree, most of the jobs in the HN page aren't good for me. Consulting or even contracting would be best.
