MailChannels' Email Sending API for Cloudflare Workers to Be Terminated

MailChannels CEO here. As discussed in my blog post, we're EOL'ing the free email delivery API that we made available to Cloudflare Workers users back in 2022. The uptake on the service was decent, but the uptake for the service did not meet our expectations.

We plan to launch a new email sending API that is richer in functionality, including features many developers need such as message delivery tracking; however, we also plan to add some features people haven't seen before. I am excited about that project and look forward to engaging with email API users again when there is something tangible to announce.

MailChannels continues to deliver an ever-growing amount of email for web hosting providers, ISPs, and mailbox providers. We send email for about 2 million unique domains and 13 million unique senders per week. We'll miss interacting with the Cloudflare community for the time being, but I look forward to coming back stronger with a revised API that has more of the features people want to support generative-AI email workflows.
