Hating Apple Goes Mainstream
world.hey.comWhat is truly astounding is that the ad represents exactly what technology does: and moreover, it is powered by the average person going after it rabidly. Technology erodes past ways of life and homogenizes it into an increasing swamp of blandness. People hate the ad not because the ad is disrespectful, but becauase it represents the darkness inside us that we have destroyed many good things for the sake of technological advancement.

As per the article, the issue isn't the ad it's peoples reaction to the ad.
Over the last year (or couple of years?), the general perception of Apple has changed which may have larger future ramifications for the company.
