What do you think about electromagnetic induction chargers? If a startup develops a system that can recharge devices from a few meters away, it will instantly become a million-dollar company. Induction charging is highly inefficient and the wasted energy has to be expended somehow. If traditional Qi chargers are 50-60% efficient under ideal conditions, imagine how much heat would radiate from a system with 10-5% efficiency.
