One, "ableism" is up there with "heteronormative" and "cisgender" as approaches to ideas that harm who they intend to serve. The goal of accessible software is practical, not philosophical.

Two, accessible html/css hasn't changed all that much in the last 20 years. We're generally VPAT compliant (as complaint as you can be), simply by making our markup mostly conform to basic accessibility standards. I was pretty impressed by how good modern screen readers are at presenting SPAs to our users.
