Ask HN: Freelancers, how do you successfully expand to new markets?
As a freelancer, I've worked on 100+ projects, including some for billion dollar US companies through an agency. Those clients were very impressed with my work.
I'm now looking to build my own client base in the US market. I have the skills and expertise, as evidenced by my track record.
What strategies have worked for you to land new clients in a different market, leveraging past successful projects? I'm interested in tips for marketing, lead generation, networking, or any other approaches that could help freelancers make this transition effectively.
