Why do calculators get this wrong? (We still don't know) [video]

A particular model of calculator expresses a certain ratio in terms of pi. Presented in the modern omg!mysteries! way, but to their credit does take a stab at analysis. Hadn't heard the term 'mediant' before, so that was actually kind of enlightening.
