Psychedelia syndrome: the pixels and code of Jeff Minter's 'Psychedelia'
psychedeliasyndro.meAlways glad to see Jeff Minters work featured.
As an aside, check out his youtube channel. It is entirely just him and his life/work partner feeding sheep, donkeys and llamas on this property. Very cool! Many discs are inserted into them. Discs being hobnobs biscuits/cookies.
I like to watch these. When I put them on my two border collies lose their minds. Yes, they can see the TV and recognize what's on it. And they run frantically around the house looking for the sheep. It's kind of funny.
Only problem is it making my wife want sheep and I don't want to deal with that.
Make a deal: no sheep unless your wife learns how to count them properly? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yan_tan_tethera
I recognised Jeff on the tube on the way to a computer exhibition at some point in the 80s. I was just a pimply youth, but he was really charming and happy to have a chat. Made my day!
Heh. I recall seeing him at a show in London. He was very tall, as I recall.

This is a beautifully written book. Immersive, detailed, and well-written. Halfway through and loving it so far!
Is there a print copy of this available?
He was amazing in Black Mirror - Bandersnatch!
