I read this article a few days ago. Its too bad there isn't any good meds that will improve their quality of life available to them.

        Choice is important. Claiming that it's wrong for someone stuck in a hopeless situation to make a choice to exit that situation is unethical and makes you an asshole, Quinzel.

        Medical professionals told her they did everything they can for her and her illnesses would not improve. Maybe there will be future treatment options, but she is an adult in pain and she has the right to change that.

          Doesn’t her ending her life so young also just actually rob her of an opportunity to get better though?

          I don’t think I’m an asshole for having a different perspective. I didn’t say I thought it was wrong. I said I thought it was terrible. You assume that means I think it’s wrong, or that I’ve made some sort of moral judgement on the matter. But I just think it’s terrible someone so young is going to die because of psychiatric illnesses.
