Ask HN: Will MS Teams Stop Supporting Firefox, Safari and Linux on April First?
According to the "New Teams for Web rollout schedule"[0], Classic Teams will be shut down after March 31st. Furthermore, availability of New Teams on "Firefox and Safari browsers, and Linux" will be available in "Q1 2024".
HN Microsofters, do you have any idea whether it is crunch time in the Teams team and this support will be rolled out within the next 4 days?
[0]: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/new-teams-web It might make your life easier to just use a VM for Teams for when you have to attend fancy meetings, and your smartphone (or Chrome browser) for basic messaging. There's a Teams app for iOS and Android, so having a phone or a tablet is an option too.
