Ask HN: Next 6 days in SF, AI meetup/coffee?
Hey everyone, I'm in San Francisco the next 6 days. Is there any way to spontaneously meet / grab a coffee with anyone in an AI/eingineering role? I value talks in person much more than a digital meeting and landing a job in one of the promising big AI houses has been my dream for the past 5 years. I have 5 years of experience across industries, all with a focus on ML, plus bsc and msc in physics with a focus on RL. So far neither simple applications nor cold outreaches helped me get to one of the companies I want to reach. I applied to a bunch again before this trip, but wanted to also just reach out here. I think Ask HN might not be the right category for this (rather Who's hiring/wants to be hired) but I've had no luck with the other options and just wanted to try it. I am currently tech Lead in a small startup in Germany. Been actively job hunting for a year now. I'm in Connecticut, not San Francisco, so I can't meet with you this time.
