Tennessee Senate Is First to Pass Bill to Ban Geoengineering [video]
youtube.comFrom the bill:
> The intentional injection, release, or dispersion, by any means, of chemicals, chemical compounds, substances, or apparatus within the borders of this state into the atmosphere with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight is prohibited"
(emphasis added)
As long as you're unintentionally doing geoengineering by releasing tons of CO2, it's all good. Phew!
What a pointless bill. After all, it's probably cheaper to do it elsewhere, for example in a lesser developed country with lower labor costs, especially one facing disaster in a much warmer world.
