Ask HN: Handling offers of free help on side projects
I've been working on a side project while unemployed. Someone I know, also between jobs, offered to help for free.
It could be awkward if the project eventually makes money. How do you handle people offering to work for free on projects when you can't pay them? im having difficulty finding what the issue is here: they offer free help, you cant pay them => match made in heaven Which software license is the project using? no licence, just a private repo at the moment... It's risky to accept contributions without a license, free or not.
