Historic California dam removal, meant to help salmon, sees die-off

Exactly -- if you read the article they were killed by a dam that hadn't been removed yet. So it's like, no, the dam removal did not kill the salmon, the lack of dam removal did.
And yet, it happened. Doesn't speak well of project management.
