Did YouTube just update it's UI?

They have been experimenting for days now and they are driving us nuts...

First with the video player expanding out of the blue, even though the video is not for a wide screen, still it stretches it out; then, in shorts, they tried to make the comments as a popup on the right side of your window; what to say...they have to teach those newly hired UI/UX developers lol, what better way than testing it on an actual LIVE production website! :D hahahaha

Opened a video and, to my surprise, the layout is weird/different. The video information is to the right of the player. Tried an incognito window to confirm that it wasn't just a random extension messing with it: No account, normal, "old" layout. Logged into my account, graced with this aberration. Can't find news about it anywhere. What's going on?

My chrome extension Clear Skies is still working as expected so... the weather's still great from my view. :)
