This is despite Israel’s sizable defense sector making out like bandits. Elbit Systems has never had to fulfill so many orders for Hermes drones.

They’ve been really hindered by the dysfunction on Capitol Hill. I imagine when the USA gets around to injecting 14 billion (more) taxpayer dollars into Israel’s extermination^H self-defense campaign at least a few billion of those won’t be in the form of credit towards purchases from the US defense sector and the Israeli economy will see some sort of bounce.

Wikipedia says that Hermes drones were initially planned for deployment on 2015, and they were rushed into service a year or so earlier than expected because Israel's armed forces were in desperate need for a long endurance UAV.

This is Israel's first full-scale war since then. Obviously they need long endurance UAVs more than never, and "never" in this context is barely now.

I think you tried to put a spin a personal opinion that ultimately just means "an army needs equipment during a war", as if it was surprising.

Maybe stopping the war is the solution?
