Ask HN: Would Evil AI sound better than Evil Corporations?
An out and out evil AI would be more predicable than our evil corporations disguising themselves as the good guys. Unless it's like one of the adversaries in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berserker_(novel_series) which use a random number generator to be unpredictable and harder to defeat. See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero-sum_game where the "minimax" strategy frequently involves making a random choice. A random number generator still has a chance of working out once in a blue moon. Or hell a zero sum game is still better than a negative one.
