Am I doing this right?

1 points by vitalipom 2 years ago · 4 comments · 1 min read

I developed a cool piece of software that helps potential users a lot and I want to expose it and bring a lot of traffic and acknowledgement before I launch it in order to stay motivated and keep going in with it once backend and frontend is done and I have a feeling that I do not succeed telling the motivation and the story of my product since I don’t have the abilities telling it interestingly enough. Why am I so boring? signmeonly.io is the name there is yet no website since no one yet even agreed to talk with me about it :( And I’m publishing everywhere info about the service.

I tried to check your landing page, doesn't work.

I tried to view the YT video you posted here before, it was removed.

I tried to understand your USP from your post here, I didn't understand why would you try to sell something that secures non-HTTP connections, not sure what it even does.

All those considered, I don't think you can expect any interest if there is no information for your product, and all content posted is already dead.

Maybe you should describe what the site is and how it would be of value to people in this post. People aren’t going to just click a nondescript web link.

I described it: on Tik Tok, on YouTube, on dev.to, here in another posts. But somehow people don’t say anything. As if in the only tech places I know people don’t want to talk about technology now.

It’s not about convincing you to click something it’s about requesting to reflect me where have I fallen in between the chairs.

If you already feel like you've been repeating yourself too much and you don't even have a landing page yet, you may not have the right mindset for starting a company from scratch. Every time you bring up the idea, you need to explain it.

I dug up this post from _today_:

      https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38973944

      Some fast reactions:

      * this sounds like client certificates but with an extra step involving email

      * I don't understand the threat model where you don't trust the user's SSL connection but _do_ trust their email account
