I woke up, and as I usually do, I opened HN while I drink my coffee. But this time I got this message: "Sorry, you have been blocked. You are unable to access ycombinator.com" Perhaps related? The email is in the footer. HTH! These are regulations that many sites adopt in accordance with the sanctions imposed by the United States government against some countries, including Cuba. Yes. But AFAIK, HN has never had such a policy. AFAICT this blocking was introduced very recently when HN started to use CloudFlare in order to mitigate a DDoS attack. Therefore I thought it might be a good idea to bring it to the admins’ attention. I will write to them as you say, thanks for suggesting it.
