I’m trying to decide on a terminal app for my MacOS, mainly between iTerm2 and Warp. Any thoughts? I’m open to other suggestions too. Thanks!

Warp is amazing if you're ok with closed-source and mandatory Github login. Surprisingly, one of the features I use a lot is built-in AI assistant. Became a habit to just type in a sidebar of the terminal stuff like "how do I sort files by date in ls" or "how to resize video with ffmpeg" and execute it directly in the terminal.

Am I missing much by just using the MacOS-provided Terminal?

I've been happy with WezTerm - https://wezfurlong.org/wezterm/index.html

I need to give Warp an honest try but it's still iTerm2 by default for me, with occasional launches of cool-retro-term or kitty, plus the VSCode terminal.

iTerm 2 is a shoo-in, for me. It's open source and will please all but the most stalwart Mac purists. Warp never sold it's value prop to me.

I use Kitty and iTerm.

iTerm2 is my current default. I also use Oh My Zsh for Zsh configuration.
