Tesla HVAC Funk Pt 2 [video]

Tesla cars have been suffering from an odd "funk" odor issue for a few years now, even after an OTA update was pushed to try to dry out the cabin air filters after the car is parked. This video has some pretty great experimental design that bunks/debunks many longstanding theories of why this is happening, and it's cool to finally see the HVAC assembly in question disassembled on a table.

Of note about the video is that there still isn't an obvious smoking gun root cause. Would love to see discussion on other potential hypotheses.
