Ask HN: All my iCloud Desktop files are gone
Merry Christmas. Today I logged into my Mac Mini and noticed that all files on my desktop are completely gone. I suspect it has something to do with failing to mount the iCloud drive? Anyone have any tips for debugging or should I cut my losses and restore from backup? iCloud is so unreliable. Open icloud on a web browser and check whether the files are still there? You can also check via your iPhone.
