hugely impressive will 1000 km actually reduce 'range anxiety' that comes with EV's?

Anyone who travels that distance on a single charge will be living in a continental scale country, which will likely still have inadequate charging infrastructure. This is not to say EV's are not the way forward, only that bigger batteries are no substitute for comprehensive national infrastructure plan to put charging ports everywhere (ideally on the roads themselves)

As of last May, they had 1360 battery swap stations across China, where in less than 5 minutes the battery can automatically be swapped out for a fully charged one. They are also starting to build stations in Europe.

So they really are trying to make the experience better. And to be fair, Tesla is also working on this to a lesser extent in the US.

Edit: here's Tom Scott's youtube video about his experience using the battery swap service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNZy603as5w

thought battery swap outs were on their way out as range / charging speed improved. I think Taiwan were ahead on this, but didn't realise Mainland China was also building swap out. I guess the most robust system would be heterogenous yet integrated, give the drivers as many options as possible
