Ask HN: Still early, but rapidly expanding areas?
I'm not looking for the next big thing, but just one thing that is very early right now (so it is still fun to engage with people), but is rising rapidly (so it has societal relevance sometime in the future).
Things like:

- Bitcoin in 2009
- Ethereum in 2015
