Ask HN: How is AWS OpenSearch vs. Elasticsearch playing out?
Curious if other more informed people know what's going on with AWS's OpenSearch fork of Elasticsearch?
Is AWS doing a good job? Should people outside of the AWS ecosystem be using OpenSearch? Has Elasticsearch become more proprietary as a result of their license change?
Also curious if people are happy moving to completely alternative open source search engine solutions. I'm wondering the same.
