Ask HN: What do you think about the new Slack UI?

I think it is just another example of how Slack is getting the post-acquisition treatment (enshittification). Let's not forget that they changed from 10k messages to 90 days, hurting a lot of projects in the process. If they wanted to do this right, they would have made the Org and gradient stuff like Discord, user configurable.

Like GitHub, they seem to listen to their users less and less, and seem more interested in how to extract more money while making their platform less usable.

I don’t know how I feel about it per se, but the rollout is horrible.

Half my workspaces use the new UI the other half the old one. It makes a really jarring user experience.
