Ask HN: Unimplemented Languages?
I was thinking about those web design sites where people post renders of a colour scheme or layout etc of fictional websites to showcase their design talent and it got me thinking. Is there an archive of programming language syntax that hasn't been implemented - somewhere for people to discuss their design merits and for bored programmers to pull one of the shelf and spend a weekend building a compiler for? Not sure if nobody has tried to implement it, but there's PLOT: http://users.rcn.com/david-moon/PLOT/ Although it does look like it would take more than a weekend to write a compiler for it... :3
