I am researching a man named Hew Draper. Any and all help is appreciated
Hew Draper was an innkeeper that was accused of witchcraft in 1561. He was imprisoned for 2 years in the Tower of London, and there is no record of him after his sentence. He's probably dead, but any info about him is wanted. For more context it turns out Hew made some interesting carvings on the wall while in the tower [0] OP you can check out the national archives list of resources here [1], there is a section on tracing a person by name. [0] https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/jonathanjonesblog/2... [1] https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/... Nothing yet, but thanks. Honestly, from what it looks like, all Draper did was draw a horoscope. We can always hope it's magic, though. > He's probably dead In what way is it possible he isn't? witchcraft Silly me! __probably dead__ Um? Any evidence to say he's not dead? There's no record of him dying or being released. I'm trying to figure out which happened Vampire? Took on a new name more than likely. Good luck! thanks a lot buddy now you got the Highlander theme song stuck in my head
