Ask HN: Good teen books/sites/resources for mechanisms?
There appear to be infinite resources for learning software, any suggestions on the mechanical side (besides Lego+FIRST)?
Perhaps something like the Boston Museum of Science Clark Collection of Mechanical Movement online edition of 507 Mechanical Movement.[0][1] book : https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Engineering-Makers-Hands-D... Youtube search "mechanial movement" shows quite a bit of material. (concepts & examples) [0] : http://wiki.dtonline.org/index.php/507_Mechanical_Movements And the website ! I knew before I clicked that someone would recommend 507, so thank you for making me smile. fun stuff is feeding the 2d image to an ai program to chrun out a de brujin sequence(s) describing the 3d motion.
