Interface looks simple and elegant. I hope they maintain the visual appeal while adding new features over time.

That sounds like a showstopper to me?

For me the threads.net website is still just a QR code that says "get the app". I don't want to use the mobile app, though, I just want to sign up in a desktop web browser. I'm getting the impression that even now, the site is still just a supplement rather than a replacement for the mobile app.

    I think this is MVP that will evolve over time. By the way, if you're just seeing QR code then you probably don't have access to web yet. They said it's rolling out slowly.

      I understand that, but everything about the Threads release seems rushed. I guess it's to try to take advantage of the current problems with Twitter, but such an approach could backfire, and we're already seeing usage of Threads drop precipitously. As they say, "You only have one chance to make a first impression."
