Elon Musk’s X to fund legal bills of people “unfairly treated” for posts
smh.com.auAt this point, I feel twitter & musk no longer belong on HN. Unless there is some technical story atleast.
The shadow-CEO of a social media company threatening to sue the employers of their users seems a pretty big deal and worth talking about for a variety of reasons.
What I'm wondering is: does the guy who told Musk he was talking nonsense about the Twitter codebase and got fired fall under this promise:
> “If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill,” Musk said in a post on X, adding that there will be no limits to funding the bills.

Whoa whoa whoa, not so fast with those headlines. Let's say Elno has claimed, promised to do this, and it's completely foreseeable that he won't follow through, much as he doesn't follow through with his gazillions of other empty predictions and promises. "I'm confident we will have full self-driving n < 10 years", "we will fly people to Mars soon" &cpp.
