Ask HN: Do you give presentations as part of your job?
If so. What do you like to use and would you be interested in using a DSL to code a web-based presentation. Obviously I’m developing this very thing. It’s very fast and the switch from writing code to writing a presentation is pretty seamless in my experience. I've actually had no trouble writing slides in Markdown and then converting them into presentations with Pandoc. If you don't need a very complicated presentation, this is my preferred method. Would you be interested in trying Quickpoint and giving me some feedback? It’s like YAML, instant feedback and immediately available in the browser for presenting or distributing. What is a DSL? Personally the presentations I give are usually simple powerpoint slideshows, and I don't try to make them fancy DSL = Domain-specific language (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain-specific_language).
