Ask HN: Payment processors becoming card networks?
What's the reason we don't see more card networks besides VISA and Mastercard? Specifically large processors must have some incentive to further reduce their fees? India is pushing forth RuPay network as an alternative. Then again goverments across the world treat crypto like some smuggler when real world cash has & is used for every other fraudulent & illegal activity. While the whole premise of crypto was to have a publicly accessible ledger & central banks are somewhere averse to this notion for some reason?
