Hackernoon does not seem to let you opt out of google analytics and other cookies in their cookie options, this goes against the GDRP I think.
Are they hosted in the EU?
It doesn't matter, if the site's served to EU users:
"As per Article 3 of the GDPR, the territorial scope of the GDPR applies to businesses regardless of whether the processing takes place in the European Economic Area (EEA)." (https://www.cookieyes.com/blog/gdpr-in-the-us-a-checklist-fo...)
That’s unenforceable in the US where I presume this site is hosted.
