My current workflow is to manually upload them from the mac recordings app to fireflies but there must be a better way?

You can use Whisper to transcribe the audio to text locally on the mac.

You have a great Open-source implementation named whisper.cpp and a few graphical user interfaces for it:

https://github.com/ggerganov/whisper.cpp

Personally I use MacWhisper pro because it’s very convenient.

I use the Just Press Record[1] app on my watch, and it transcribes the audio automatically. They're not anything sensitive or confidential, so the convenience is nice.

You can use Just Press Record which is good as the other commenter mentioned.

The other option is to use the Voice Memos app on Watch and then use the voice memos app on iPhone to share it to something like Otter.ai.

If you want to bulk upload then just press record is likely better because it’ll save them in iCloud, and then you can bill drag and drop upload them on your Mac.

Use Shortcuts to send them to iCloud and then process?
