Show HN: YouTube Channel – ChessGoddess
I created a new channel on YouTube dedicated to chess games.
https://youtu.be/NDVMC4SXAic Clicky: https://youtu.be/NDVMC4SXAic Are you planning to add commentary in later videos? I'm somewhat following [1] https://www.youtube.com/@GothamChess and the main feature are the commentary and analysis. Did you automate the sound or it's a manual synchronization? As always, can you describe the tech stack used to make the videos and any weird setup? [1] Not every video, probably I watch only one per week. I don't have plans to add commentary. I'm rated 1300 (https://www.chess.com/member/briankamrany), so the FMs, IMs, and GMs have a better commentary to add than me, I think. :) I wrote a program using JavaFX + Spring that takes a PGN file and converts it into a video. It moves the pieces and sounds (assets) based on the timing that I configured. Then I use OBS Studio and AutoHotkey to record the video. I created three boards (brown, blue, and green) and added three piece sets (merida, custom, and custom_shadow). I'm too used to see the bar at the right that shows who is winning. Perhaps you can add it. I don't plan to add an evaluation bar, but there's another channel that's similar to mine that does have it:
