Ask HN: Books on building databases similar to Crafting Interpreters
Hey HN,
I was wondering if there is a book on building databases that's written in a similar fashion to "Crafting Interpreters". A book that would teach you about databases while having you build one yourself. I used this back in the day - https://www.amazon.com/C-Database-Development-Al-Stevens/dp/... Not a book but here's a list of resources for getting started with database development. https://www.reddit.com/r/databasedevelopment/comments/unj8d1... There is https://build-your-own.org/database/ it was recently announced as finished by the author iirc. Well, this is awesome. I see that they also have another one on Redis (https://build-your-own.org/redis/). That will be my next fun project. Thanks! EDIT: typos.
