Elon Musk Touts Ketamine for Depression
forbes.comIt's interesting because it's not like Ketamine is some kind of secret drug that people don't have access to.
Now, I know there's therapy that involves psilocybin and also there's evidence of therapy with MDMA but this is the first time I hear of ketamine for this purpose. This is the first time I hear of Ketamine for this kind of usage, it would be helpful if Musk would use some of his billions of dollars to maybe fund serious research in this area; it is needed.
No judgement here. But I'd like to see proper procedures and research in place, rather than just someone kinda hearing about it and maybe trying it. There is some evidence for ketamine in low dosages to treat depression [1], but I don't think there's enough researched compared to other alternatives (such as psilocybin and mdma). So i'd tread carefully.

There is more research on Ketamine than there is on psilocybin and MDMA, especially as a treatment for depression. And the research on psilocybin and MDMA is brutally opinionated and deceiving. It's a con that will do more damage than good.
Multiple German clinics offer Ketamine therapy. The procedures are very simple and have been pretty much perfected.
I don't have the attention to look up the links, though, sorry!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND psilocybin and MDMA to treat depression. Ketamine beats both, short-, mid- and long-term.
If you are active enough, eat enough and your psycho-social environment is more or less fulfilling and you are still depressed for long periods, then I recommend Ketamine therapy before anything else, especially SSRIs.
