GNOME working on support for proposed Freedesktop accent colours

So the discussion underway by Gnome developers is to address the desire to use custom arbitrary accent colors is to let one be specified but to not actually use it. Instead the closest color Gnome developers consider visually appealing will be used. This is the most Gnome thing I have read in a long time and that isn't a complement.
