Ask HN: Is there a need for web peer-to-peer file sharing?
Let's say you want to send a large file over the web (+20 GB) to only one person.
Wouldn't it be convenient to have a service that sent the file over WebRTC (sort of like ShareDrop but across the web) directly or do you believe that this would this be a service that wouldn't have any use? I think it is a great idea :) My favorite implementation of this is https://webwormhole.io/ That's really cool and was looking for something just like that!
The only issue is that I couldn't really transfer a large file though (it just got stuck at 0). Look on Wikipedia Do you mean that I should look for users' interest and feedback about a WebRTC transfer service on Wikipedia?
