An analysis of car ownership in NYC by neighborhood and income

> TL;DR: Most New Yorkers do not own cars, much less drive to work. And the households that do own cars earn a significantly higher income than the ones that don’t. Making it easier to drive, at the expense of transit improvements, does not help the vast majority of New Yorkers and especially not the least affluent.
