Ask HN: Does anyone here track their projects? What systems have you used?
Metrics are dicey, but for longterm projects it can be useful to see progress. I'm looking for tools a bit more technical than kanban or tickets. Just what's out there. Depends on what way you want to track it. If you’re tracking schedule/timeline/progress of activities then use a Gantt chart (smartsheet, msproject or excel) or a Burndown.
