Is the point of this that layoffs are natural but sad and we should feel bad for CEOs? That's not very topically relevant when the incremental increase in payment is almost irrelevant for a lot of CEOs, they're already making unimaginable sums of money. In addition, many of the most recent tech layoffs were completely unnecessary. Alphabet's revenue still increased last year.
